Delegate Nadarius Clark is the Democratic Nominee in HD-84

April 4, 2025

Suffolk, Virginia — This past week, Delegate Nadarius Clark formally secured the Democratic nomination for the 84th district of the Virginia House of Delegates, and kicked off his campaign for reelection.

Seeking his third term in the House of Delegates, Del. Clark says “I have worked tirelessly for more than three years to make progress on the issues my constituents care about: improving our education system, lowering the cost of health care and housing, promoting public safety and supporting our farmers and small businesses. I’m proud of the progress we’ve made, but there is still work to be done - I’m ready to keep fighting.”

Since winning election in November 2023, Del. Clark has secured numerous legislative accomplishments, including the passage of seven bills on a bipartisan basis. These include new laws expanding firearm safety device tax credits, providing military firefighters access to enhanced retirement benefits, increasing fentanyl education in Virginia public schools, increasing the number of cities that can access Virginia Investment Performance Grants, and requiring schools have life-saving bleeding control kits available in case of emergency.

Del. Clark this year also secured funding in the budget for the 84th District, bringing back $500,000 to the City of Suffolk to finish construction of a homeless shelter, $2.5 million for a mobile maternal health clinic pilot program and $1000 bonuses for all teachers and support staff throughout the Commonwealth.
