DELEGATE NADARIUS CLARK ANNOUNCED INTENTION TO RUN FOR RE-ELECTION IN THE NEW HD-84

February 4th, 2022

Richmond, VA: Following the Supreme Court's ratification of the new districts pursuant to the 2020 census, Nadarius Clark, Delegate in House District 79 covering parts of Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Chesapeake, announced his intention to run in the new House District 84.

The new House District 84 includes the cities of Suffolk, Franklin, and Isle of Wight county. When asked about his decision to run in the new 84th, Nadarius Clark said:

"I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve a diverse coalition of cities in the current 79th. Having heard from each of the cities I represent over the course of a year on the campaign trail, I know there are many issues we face in this region that transcend our city lines.

"Better opportunities for education, public transportation, and access to economic mobility. These are the things I ran on in 2021, the things I intend to fight for during the remainder of the legislative session, and what I will endeavor to bring to the residents of the new 84th."

Speaking to the announcement of Delegate Clark's intention to run in HD-84, Delegate Clint Jenkins of Suffolk and Delegate Don Scott of Portsmouth had this to say in support of Nadarius Clark.

"Nadarius demonstrates a deep commitment to his faith and an eagerness to listen, learn, and represent his constituents with honesty and transparency." - Clint Jenkins

"Nadarius is a fighter who isn't afraid to speak truth to power. His perspective and life experience is one the Commonwealth of Virginia deeply benefits from."  -Don Scott
